hi! so if youve been paying attention lately, you might know whats been happening to my boyfriend and i lately, and how our life has suddenly gone very rapidly downhill.
on saturday the 30th of november, at approximately 4:30pm, i was attacked, unprovoked, in the street for being visibly both gay and transgender. i sustained a concussion and a muscular injury to my jaw, as well as several scratches on my face and chest. the people who did this live on the same block we do. we are not safe at home any longer. they threatened to kill me, and know where we live.
because of this attack we are staying with our family, and while we were gone, our house was broken into and robbed. all of our electronics, jewellery and anything remotely valuable was taken.
what im asking for is whatever you can spare to help us cover the costs of moving. the real estate havent been very understanding and its still going to cost $160AUD to get the carpet cleaned and house treated for pests, $200AUD for a professional bond clean and we are required to continue to pay $500AUD a fortnight until new tenants are found, otherwise we arent going to get our bond back. the bond is a loan ($1000AUD) i have yet to pay off and i cannot afford to lose that.
neither of us work, as we are both very mentally ill, and rely on our disability pensions to live and , unfortunately , they arent enough to cover these costs, as well as pay rent at our familys house ($220AUD a fortnight) AND save for a new place of our own.
